One of the many positives that has emerged from the Fan Advisory Board’s (FAB) increased activity and visibility is the opportunities that we’ve had to meet more regularly with many of the local supporter’s groups representatives. After an initial informal lunch with many of the groups last summer, we’ve scheduled quarterly meetings this year at the Amex arranged by Jenny Gower, with hospitality provided by Sodexo, in one of the corporate lounges.
This has allowed supporter’s groups to ask questions on key issues, provide their feedback on their Albion experiences and given the club and the FAB a forum to share updates on various activities. A welcome addition to these meetings has been the attendance by various club executives to share more information on their role and the impact it has on the match day experience and other fan related elements.
Our most recent meeting on April 14th, at the sun-filled FilederLounge, featured Rose Read, Chief People and Culture Officer, Russ Wood, Head of Commercial, Joe Jenkins, the new CEO of the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation and of course Jenny Gower our key contact with the club. It was well attended by many of our supporter group friends, who ensured it was a lively and interactive session. The discussion covered a broad range of topics and the positive feedback from the group representatives indicated that the session was enjoyed and appreciated.
With some sort of football tournament taking place in the Americas over the summer, we have not yet scheduled our next quarterly meeting but expect that it will be in August prior to the opening game of the season and you can watch for an announcement on the website later in the summer.
